    Subject pronouns : They are subject of a sentence. They command the action.

            They left home early.

            It is going to rain.

 

    Object pronouns : They are the object of a verb or preposition.

            She called me minutes ago.

            Mom bought it for us.

            Talk to them about it.

           

    Possessive Adjectives : They describe possession. They come before a noun , so they work as adjectives.

            Paul is doing his homework.

            Mr. and Mrs.Nielsen are going to sell their house.

 

    Possessive Pronouns : They describe possession too. However they are never followed by a noun.

            That silver car is mine.

            Is this cd mine or yours ?

 

    Reflexive Pronouns : They can be used as object of a verb or preposition, and also in idioms. They always refer to the subject of the sentence.

            He hurt himself at the game.

            I needed and I bought it for myself.

            She did it all by herself. ( = alone )

            My children are enjoying themselves at the party. ( having fun )
